Some cool old dude who was figure modeling at WorkshopSF. Sitting right next to me drawing the same dude was David Kassan (http://www.massiveblackworkshop.com/instructors#!__instructors/vstc7=kassan). A-mazingly skilled guy, of course!
I switched up how I work a little, so admittedly this could look a bit better, but I'm really excited to see where my work is going . I'm going to put a much heavier emphasis on different brush types from here on out.

Hanzie Orthos
So here's the final model illustration of Hanzie that we'll be using for Communists vs. Zombies. Yay! More backstory on him: Apparently he was a pilot, but since he lost his motor skills he sticks on the ground and drives tanks. Thing is he isn't much better at driving those, either. Lucky for him tanks are just that--tanks.

Evgenia's house
Evgenia needs a place to live, so here it is! I included a statue next to her classy mobile home as a tombstone to commemorate her dead husband. She may carry his head around in a lantern, but that doesn't mean she doesn't love him dearly.

More tonics, guys!
Okay, so I've fleshed out a whole bunch of tonics for Communists Versus Zombies. They'd be pretty unwieldy to drink, so I guess you'd have to be a badass to consume them.
First half:
Second half. For some reason Blogspot won't post them the same size:

Iron in the Furnace: Le Feux Follet (UNFINISHED WORK)
My new website is going to be themed around my favorite mystical character, the "Will-o-the-Wisp", also known as "Le Feux Follet" in French nomenclature. I'm working on this design for my home page over at www.crankyflame.com (it's kind of an ugly mess over there right now, I apologize). He still needs a good 8 hours of work, though! I'm more than aware of his proportions and lack of detail...so I'm trying to decide if I should give him a lantern in his left hand or a parasol. He needs some source of light, though, so maybe he should be on fire? I dunno...anyway, I'm also going to have him prancing around on some very choppy water with his tender feet just barely skimming the surface. It'll be pretty neat, I hope.
Up next: More tonics!!

Business Card Front
Oh naw, brah! It's Soul Calibur vs. Aliens!! Not really...
So this is Gwendolyn. A Danish aristocrat from the late 16th century, schizophrenia has manifested itself within her gentle head at the age of 24. As she peeks into the mirror she just laughs as she sees a Kathe (like a cat, but not, I swear!) looking back at her. She is aware of her illness, so takes this as another fleeting moment of insanity, when in reality the glass has been popped out and she is really looking at the animal, dangling from the mirror. Freaked out, she attempts to cut off all of her fur, but is left with a mangled mane. As her illness progresses, she will become infatuated with another "world" through the other side of her mirror, ignoring the fact that the creatures that she will later call "creepies" surrounding her as her mind continues to break down.
The backside will be coming soon, but first I've gotta hammer out my e-mail address and website. They need some changes :P
